| The Sacrament of Marriage |
- The Archdiocese of Louisville requests that a couple wishing to marry in the Catholic Church please contact their Pastor no less than six (6) months prior to the date of the wedding. This time of preparation and planning is a valuable time for the couple to come to know one another in the context of the faith in which they are celebrating their marriage.
- No date for the wedding should be made prior to meeting with the Pastor and checking the availability of the Church.
- If there is a prior marriage for either one of the parties you should contact the Pastor at least a year in advance in the event that an annulment may be needed.
- There are Parish guidelines for weddings celebrated at Our Mother of Sorrows. These guidelines will be given to the couple at the time they meet with the Priest.
